Fix Democracy First is the organization behind the successful I-735 (2016) campaign to get money out of politics. They’re now working towards bringing Ranked Choice Voting to Washington, as well as other pro-democracy issues.
FairVote is a national, non-partisan, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that seeks to make democracy fair, functional, and more representative. FairVote Washington is a separate organization working in alliance with FairVote as part of network of state-based organizations to promote voting reform on a local level.
SocialRoots is a local organization with the mission of helping activists and supporters use their digital network to collaborate, mobilize, foster awareness and promote change via tools to help them get their message out effectively.
Seattle DSA is the Seattle chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America. They believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically to meet human needs, not to make profits for a few. SDSA are a political and activist organization, not a party. Through campus and community-based chapters, DSA members use a variety of tactics, from legislative to direct action, to fight for reforms that empower working people.
Not This Time is an up and coming grassroots movement that evolved from the killing by the Seattle Police Department of Mr. Che Andre Taylor on February 21, 2016. They are dedicated to police reform and anti-corruption, and are currently pushing to reform the “Malice Clause” of the current Washington law regarding police shootings.
Represent.US is a nonprofit focused on anti-corruption legislation. They aim to pass powerful laws that stop political bribery, end secret money, and fix our broken elections. There are many chapters across the state, from Vancouver to Spokane.
